Scholarships Archie Tonge Education Fund Scholarship This scholarship was established by the Board of the Archie Tonge Education Fund to support and encourage young people who desire to benefit from a Christian education but may not have the financial resources to attend a Christian college or university.

The specific purpose is to provide financial assistance to promising graduates of Cental Valley Christian Academy who plan to attend a Seventh-day Adventist college or university in the United States.

Scholarship financial support will vary based on many attributes so please take the time to prepare a quality application.  Scholarships are renewable for four years if the recipient remains eligible.

Selection criteria for the scholarship is as follows:

  • Be a member in good standing of the current year’s graduating class.
  • Demonstrate high academic potential and performance. (Minimum GPA of 3.0)
  • Be recognized for leadership achievements and/or special talents.
  • Give evidence of commitment as a positive spiritual influence within the school and community.
  • Provide verification of financial need.

Scholarship recipients are generally notified by early in June. The Board of Trustees wishes to thank all applicants; however, only those receiving scholarships will be notified.

The Archie Tonge Education Fund board will finalize the decision to grant new scholarships later in the spring of the scholarship year.

If granting new scholarships is deferred, the Archie Tonge Education Fund will give priority to these students when scholarship funds are available.

Submit the application and supporting documents to the Principal’s Office of Central Valley Christian Academy by April 1st.


All applications are due at Central Valley Christian Academy’s Office of the Principal on April 1, and must include the following:

  • A completed application form.
  • Two evaluation forms completed by teachers from Central Valley Christian Academy who are familiar with the applicant’s school, church and community contributions.
  • An up-to-date official transcript.
  • Demonstration of financial need as evidenced by a copy of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • A copy of the applicant’s ACT and/or SAT test results.
